In a world where aliens have taken over and outlawed swords, a laid-back samurai named Gintoki Sakata gets by however he can, taking on odd jobs and teaming up with a ragtag group of misfits to make a difference - and maybe even score some cash. Alongside his friends Shinpachi Shimura and the mysterious Kagura, Gintoki's adventures are full of action, humor, and a little bit of heart. But with tensions between humans and aliens running high, will their antics be enough to bring about real change?
