What is The Projectionist about? 
In a small, rural town, a lonely projectionist finds solace in a woman he sees on a film reel. When the reel is lost in an accident, he embarks on a journey to find her, leading him to the most isolated and impoverished places in the Dominican Republic. Along the way, he encounters a young woman named Rubi and takes her on the road with him, but his quest for the woman he loves becomes increasingly obsessive and blurs the lines between reality and fantasy.
