Dragon Ball Super follows the adventures of Goku and his friends after the defeat of Majin Buu. When the powerful God of Destruction, Beerus, awakens from a long slumber, he sets out to find the legendary Super Saiyan God and put Earth in danger. Goku must transform into the Super Saiyan God and battle Beerus to save the planet. The series continues with battles against Frieza, who seeks revenge after being revived, and Hit, a powerful assassin from Universe 6. In later sagas, Future Trunks returns with news of an enemy who resembles Goku, Goku Black, and Zamasu, a Kaioshin apprentice who seeks to wipe out all mortals. The series culminates in a tournament between eight universes for survival called by Zenos
