Yuri Katsuki, a talented but struggling figure skater, finds himself at a crossroads in his career after a devastating loss at the Grand Prix Final. Returning home to Kyushu, he's torn between retiring and continuing to skate. That's when Victor Nikiforov, a five-time world champion and Yuri's idol, appears with a young protégé, Yuri Plisetsky. Victor offers to coach Yuri Katsuki, and the two Yuris compete against each other for the chance to be coached by Victor. As they train together, tensions rise between them, and they must confront their feelings for each other.
