Outlander follows the story of Claire Randall, a married combat nurse from 1945 who is mysteriously swept back in time to 1743, where she is thrown into an unknown world and forced to marry Jamie Fraser, a young Scottish warrior. As they navigate their lives in the past, they must confront their own loyalties and desires amidst the political and cultural tensions of the time. Meanwhile, their daughter Brianna, who was born in the 20th century, travels through the stones and joins them in the past, bringing with her own struggles and conflicts. Throughout the seasons, the family faces numerous challenges, including wars, rape, and treason, all while trying to maintain their relationships and sense of belonging across different time periods.
