In the era of globalization, where mobility often comes with a sense of rootlessness, many couples struggle to stay connected, not only with each other but also with the place they once called home. This is the story of Arthur (Matt Wu) and Vivian (Huang Lu), a couple who have spent the last four years together in Paris. Arthur, an immigrant, is about to leave the city, and he wants Vivian, a former actress, to join him on his journey back home. However, Vivian is focused on her career and is not eager to accept Arthur's request, leaving both of them questioning their desires - both as individuals and as a couple. Meanwhile, Amanda (Kris Wood-Bell), a newlywed American step-mother, struggles to find her place in her new family, and June (Sajee Apiwong) and Palm (Ananda Everingham), a couple living in Bangkok, consider starting a new life in America. As they all navigate their own struggles with identity and belonging, three different couples must decide what they want most and where in the world they truly feel at home. A smart and touching film, "Sway" was written and directed by Rooth Tang in 2014.
