One Night in Miami is a fictional story that takes place on February 25, 1964, in Miami, Florida. The movie follows the lives of four iconic African American figures: Cassius Clay (later known as Muhammad Ali), Malcolm X, Sam Cooke, and Jim Brown. The film takes place on the night of Clay's historic victory over Sonny Liston, which made him the world heavyweight champion. After the fight, Malcolm X invites the other three men to his motel room to reflect on their accomplishments and discuss their roles in the civil rights movement. The conversation turns tense as Malcolm accuses Cooke of pandering to white audiences and not doing enough for the black community. Cooke argues that his music produces greater economic empowerment for black artists. The conflict between Malcolm and Cooke escalates, with Malcolm ridiculing Cooke's music and Cooke insisting that his success is an inspiration to the black community. The two eventually come to a understanding and bond over their shared struggles and goals. Meanwhile, Brown discusses his plans to become a film actor and wonders if it will be successful. As the night progresses, Malcolm reveals that he is planning to form his own organization and asks Clay to join him. Clay refuses, feeling betrayed by his mentor and unsure if his conversion was a ploy by Malcolm to attract attention to his new project. When they leave the motel room, they are met with reporters who have discovered their meeting. The aftermath of the night sees Clay officially changing his name to Muhammad Ali while Malcolm suffers consequences from leaving Nation of Islam including house firebombing but completing autobiography meanwhile Sam cooke debuts A change is gonna come" on Tonight show". Brown leaves NFL for Movie career .The film ends with title card about martyrs for cause
