What is The Phantom Carriage about? 
On New Year's Eve, a group of drunkards evokes a legend about a phantom carriage that collects the souls of the dead. One of them, David Holm, dies that night and is taken on a journey by the carriage's driver, Georges, to confront his past and the consequences of his actions. Through a series of flashbacks, we see how David's life was destroyed by his addiction to alcohol and how he lost his family and friends. When Georges shows him that his wife Anna is planning to poison their children and herself, David begs for a chance to save them. In the end, David regains consciousness and rushes to Anna's side, promising to reform and start a new life.
