Bottle Rocket tells the story of three friends, Anthony, Dignan, and Bob, who embark on a life of crime in an attempt to escape their mundane suburban lives. Dignan, the energetic and naive leader of the group, has a 75-year plan that involves pulling off several heists and eventually meeting up with a legendary criminal known as Mr. Henry. The plan quickly falls apart as they struggle to execute their heists and encounter unexpected setbacks along the way. Despite their ineptitude, they continue to pursue their dream of becoming successful criminals, leading to a series of comedic misadventures. Along the way, Anthony falls for a motel maid named Inez and learns that Mr. Henry may not be the role model he thought he was. In the end, the trio must face the consequences of their actions and figure out what they truly want out of life.
