The Informer

The Informer is a crime thriller movie that follows the story of Peter Koslow, a former convict who is forced to return to prison and infiltrate the Polish mafia to take down its leader, Ryszard "The General" Klimek. Koslow is an FBI informant who has been working undercover for several years, but when his cohort Staszek kill an undercover police officer, he is abandoned by his handlers and told to return to prison to run the drug trade on the General's behalf. Koslow agrees after his wife and daughter are threatened, but things become complicated when he starts working with corrupt prison officer Slewitt and Smiley Phelps, the boss of the prison gang. As Koslow tries to take down the General and protect his family, he faces numerous obstacles and betrayals from both inside and outside the prison walls. Wilcox, his FBI handler, is ordered by Montgomery to "burn" Koslow and cover up the FBI's involvement in the operation that led to the murder of the undercover police officer. With no one else to turn to, Koslow calls Sofia, asking her to give Grens, an NYPD detective investigating the murder of undercover police officer ,the secret audio recordings he taped while speaking with Wilcox. In a desperate attempt escape from danger looming at every corner., Koslow takes Slewitt hostage . At The Prison , Montgomery has taken command fof tha hostage situattion .
