Payback

A career thief, Porter (Mel Gibson), is betrayed by his wife Lynn (Deborah Kara Unger) and partner Val Resnick (Gregg Henry) during a heist. Shot and left for dead, Porter survives and seeks payback against those who wronged him. He tracks down Val, who has joined a powerful criminal organization, and kills him. However, this sets off a chain reaction of retaliation from the organization and the police, who are also corrupt. With the help of Rosie (Maria Bello), a high-class escort and former associate of Val's, Porter must fight his way through the criminal underworld to clear his name and get back what's rightfully his.
