Minyan

Set in 1980s New York City, Minyan follows the journey of David, a 17-year-old Russian Jewish teenager struggling to reconcile his identity, faith, and sexuality. Despite his close relationship with his grandfather Josef, David feels suffocated by his traditional community and seeks excitement in the city's underground gay scene. When he befriends two closeted men in his grandfather's senior housing complex, David begins to explore his desires and learns about the harsh realities of the world around him. With a strong cast and thought-provoking themes, Minyan offers a poignant and timely exploration of the LGBTQ+ experience.
