How It Ends

How It Ends is a 2018 science fiction action thriller film that follows the story of a young couple, Will and Samantha, who are expecting their first child. When a mysterious apocalyptic event turns everything into chaos, Will embarks on a dangerous road trip across the country with his future father-in-law, Tom, to find Samantha and ensure her safety. Along the way, they encounter various obstacles, including a firefight with a group of armed men, a broken-down car, and a treacherous journey on foot. As they get closer to their destination, Will and Tom form a bond, and Will finally feels that Tom approves of him and Sam. However, their journey takes a tragic turn when Tom succumbs to his injuries. Will continues the journey on foot and eventually finds Sam at a cabin, where they narrowly escape a pyroclastic flow and proclaim their love for each other. The cause and nature of the original 'event' remain unexplained, leaving the audience with a sense of mystery and intrigue.
