Dolores Claiborne is a gripping thriller that follows the story of a mother and daughter who are forced to confront their troubled past when the mother, Dolores, is accused of murdering her employer. The film takes place in a small town in Maine where Dolores works as a domestic servant for an elderly woman, Vera Donovan. When Vera dies under suspicious circumstances, Dolores becomes the prime suspect and her estranged daughter, Selena, returns to town to support her mother despite her own doubts about Dolores' innocence.
