Devdas

Devdas, a young man from a wealthy family, returns to India after studying law in London. He is eager to reunite with his childhood friend and sweetheart, Paro, who has been waiting for him. However, their love is forbidden by Devdas's family due to Paro's lower social status. Despite their efforts to be together, they are forced apart by societal pressures and their own families' expectations. Devdas spirals into alcoholism and a life of vice, while Paro marries an older man out of duty.
