What is The Turncoat about? 
In the final summer of World War II, a young German soldier named Walter is sent on a mission to the Eastern Front, but his train is blown up by partisans and he is stranded in a remote Polish forest with a handful of scattered soldiers. As they await their fate, Walter begins to question everything he thought he knew about the war and his role in it, especially when he falls in love with Wanda, a Polish partisan. But as the commands from his superior become more senseless and inhuman, Walter must confront the ultimate choice: loyalty to his country or his own conscience?
