Killing Eve

Killing Eve is a spy thriller series that follows the intricate and obsessive relationship between Eve Polastri, a bored MI5 agent, and Villanelle, a talented and ruthless assassin. The show explores themes of intertwined characterizations, contrast, conflict, and attraction, social, thematic and creative context, relationships and sexuality, and portrayals. The series begins with Eve's mundane life as a protection officer in MI5, which leads her to investigate a witness's background without authorization. This investigation eventually gets her fired but sparks her interest in female assassins. She joins an undercover division within MI6 to pursue Villanelle, who works for a secret organization called The Twelve. As the two women cross paths, they become obsessed with each other and their individual missions become secondary to their dangerous game of cat and mouse. The second series picks up where the first left off and focuses on the aftermath of their violent encounter. Eve is determined to track down Villanelle while also trying to solve kills set by The Twelve. Meanwhile, Villanelle continues to kill for The Twelve but starts questioning her motives after meeting a new trainer who challenges her convictions. Both women end up working together in Rome where they are pitted against each other by The Twelve but ultimately team up to take down their common enemy when it becomes clear that they share a mutual goal - taking down The Twelve onceandfor all!
