What is 12 Monkeys about? 
In a post-apocalyptic future where a deadly virus has wiped out most of humanity, a convict is sent back in time to the 1990s to gather information on the origins of the disease. However, he finds himself trapped in a mental hospital and must navigate the treacherous world of psychiatric care while trying to uncover the truth about the mysterious Army of the 12 Monkeys, a group believed to be responsible for releasing the virus.
