In the small town of Pontypool, a virus spreads through the English language, infecting those who speak it and driving them to violent madness. A radio announcer, Grant Mazzy, barricades himself inside the station with his producer and technician, trying to figure out how to stop the virus while also broadcasting their show. As the situation becomes increasingly dire, they must confront their own mortality while also attempting to find a way to warn their listeners about the virus without spreading it further. Will they be able to find a solution before it's too late?
