Call Girl

In the late 1970s, Stockholm's underground world of sex clubs, strip shows, and private residences was a seductive and dangerous place. Young Iris, a delinquent teenager, was recruited from the bottom of society into this ruthless world where power could get you anything. She quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a prostitute for the city's elite, including senior politicians. But when a police investigation led by a young vice officer, John Sandberg, threatened to expose the scandal, the powerful clients avoided being named and Dagmar's trial ended with a suspended sentence. In the aftermath of the trial, Sandberg was killed in a hit and run incident and his report into the affair was classified by the newly elected government. The film ends with Iris running away from the juvenile home, her ultimate fate unknown. "Call Girl" is a gripping political and känslomässig thriller that explores themes of power, corruption, and exploitation in 1970s Sweden.
