Based on the true story of the Boston Marathon bombings, "Patriots Day" follows Police Sergeant Tommy Saunders (Mark Wahlberg) and a team of investigators as they race against time to track down the terrorists responsible for the devastating attack. With the help of FBI Special Agent Richard DesLauriers (Kevin Bacon), Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis (John Goodman), and a team of courageous survivors, first responders, and ordinary citizens, they embark on an exhaustive manhunt that takes them from the streets of Boston to the suburbs of Watertown. As they piece together evidence and pursue their suspects, they uncover a complex web of family ties, cultural divides, and personal motivations that led to this horrific event.
