Som altid er der masser at gå på opdagelse i hos instruktøren, der er en æstetisk innovator, som fremmaner farverige fremtidsvisioner ud af skrammel og blik.

What is The Zero Theorem about? Toggle content

In a dystopian future, a reclusive computer hacker named Qohen Leth (Christoph Waltz) is determined to uncover the meaning of life by solving the mysterious "Zero Theorem." Despite his attempts at isolationism, he becomes embroiled with a seductive virtual reality stripper named Bainsley (Melanie Thierry) hired by Management to distract him from his work. As Qohen works on the formula, he becomes increasingly deranged due to its complexity and Mancom's relentless demands for processed data. In frustration he smashes his work station, and Joby introduces him to Bainsley, who dresses in sexy costumes and visits Qohen, offering to get him his long-awaited call in exchange for continuing work on the theorem. Qohen agrees but is unsure if the virtual world they inhabit together is real. Bob, Management's teenage son who repairs Qohen's computer, reveals that proving the Zero Theorem will affirm the Big Crunch theory, which conflicts with Qohen's beliefs. Unable to focus, Qohen virtually meets Bainsley again, but Management forcefully disconnects him from the system. Weeks later, Bob returns with Qohen's VR suit, now a "prototype soul-searching device." Bainsley offers to run away with Qohen but is rejected. Management's employees kidnap Bob and Later, Joby blames Qohen for getting him fired before Qohen dons his upgraded VR suit that connects him to his computer, and he's electrocuted. He wakes up in front of Neural Net Mancrive and talksto Management, whotells him Bob has been hospitalized due to illness., In an unexpected turn of events one can only learn the true meaning of their existence by letting go of their old life and embracing change.
