Larry Gigli, a low-ranking Los Angeles mobster (Ben Affleck), is ordered to kidnap Brian, an autistic young man (Justin Bartha), to save New York mob boss Starkman from prison. Gigli successfully convinces Brian to go with him by promising to take him “to the Baywatch.” However; Louis, Gigli's superior, doesn't trust him, so he hires Ricki (Jennifer Lopez), an attractive female gangster. Gigli resents Ricki's leadership and her rejection of his advances, while they receive orders to cut off Brian's thumb, leading to a dark turn of events. Starkman kills Louis in retaliation for their failure, but Ricki talks him out of killing Gigli.
