Taxi Tehran: A Journey Through the Vibrant Streets of Iran Taxi Tehran is a captivating film that takes viewers on a thrilling ride through the bustling streets of Tehran, Iran. The film takes an interesting turn when Panahi picks up his niece Hana at her school. Hana is curious about filmmaking and seeks her uncle's advice on creating a short film for a school project. Her teacher has discussed the rules of filmmaking in Iran, including the avoidance of siahnamayi or portraying a dark image of the country. However, Hana's teacher also believes that people should create films as they see fit. As Panahi and Hana continue their journey, they come across various characters, including a family friend who hasn't seen Panahi in seven years. The friend shares his concerns about a recent burglary and his dilemma about whether to report the thieves to the authorities or not. Meanwhile, Hana films a scene of siahnamay herself when she spots a boy stealing money from newlyweds and refusing to return it. The film culminates with Panahi and Hana meeting with Nasrin Sotoudeh, human rights lawyer, who is on her way to visit the imprisoned Ghoncheh Ghavami and possibly convince her to end her hunger strike .
