In the midst of World War I, four women from different walks of life are brought together by fate and must navigate the devastating consequences of war on the home front. Marguerite, a mysterious Parisian prostitute; Caroline, propelled to the head of the family factory; Agnes, Mother Superior of a requisitioned convent; and Suzanne, a feminist nurse, must each confront their own challenges as they struggle to survive and find purpose in a world torn apart by conflict. As their lives become intertwined, they discover that the only way to overcome the obstacles they face is through their shared strength and resilience.
