The Whole Truth

"The Whole Truth" is a 2016 movie about a defense attorney named Richard Ramsay who takes on a case involving a teenager accused of murdering his wealthy father. Ramsay must uncover disturbing facts about the victim and confront his own personal demons in order to uncover the truth behind the murder. The film begins with Ramsay promising the mother of the accused, Loretta Lassiter, that he will do everything in his power to acquit her son, Mike. As the trial progresses, Ramsay discovers that Boone Lassiter was a ruthless and abusive man who was hated by many people, including his own family. As the truth behind Boone's death is slowly revealed, Ramsay finds himself in increasing danger. He enlists the help ofetta's assistant, Janelle Brady;utt, who helps him uncover evidence of Boone's abuse that could help exonerate Mike. Despite their best efforts; however, Mike remains tight-lipped about the events surrounding his father's death. He finally breaks his silence when he takes the stand and admits to killing his father but not to save his mother but to save himself from Boone's years of sexual abuse.. As the trial reaches its climax;, Ramsay recalls his own involvement in the murder and the conspiracy between himself and Loretta to kill Boone and present the case as self-defense. In the end;, the jury acquits Mike, but Ramsay is left to confront the consequences of hiding the truth for so long..
