What is Citizen K about? Toggle content

Citizen K is a gripping documentary that delves into the tumultuous world of post-Soviet Russia, told through the eyes of former oligarch-turned-political dissident Mikhail Khodorkovsky. Once Russia's richest man, Khodorkovsky's fall from grace led to a decade-long prison sentence, which only strengthened his resolve to speak out against the corrupt regime of President Vladimir Putin. Now living in exile in London, Khodorkovsky continues to fight for justice and transparency in his homeland, using his fortune to fund investigations into Putin's inner circle. Through intimate interviews and sweeping cinematic visuals, Citizen K offers a powerful and thought-provoking look at the struggles of the Russian people and the ongoing battle for democracy and freedom.
