The dialogue, the soundtrack, the sheer directionless excitement – Tarantino's thunderclap of a thriller is just as brilliant as it was two decades ago

...Pulp is so perfectly wrought it makes you forgive the crimes against cinema that Tarantino has perpetrated with his acting.

* "The Bonnie Situation": At a diner, Jules tells Vincent that he plans to retire from his life of crime, convinced that their "miraculous" survival at the apartment was a sign from God. Vincent is skeptical, but agrees to help Jules with one last job. * "Vincent and Jules": Vincent and Jules retrieve a briefcase for their boss, Marcellus Wallace, from the home of Brett, a drug dealer. The job goes smoothly until Brett opens the briefcase and finds it empty. They take Brett hostage and return to Jules' house, where they clean up after a murder that occurred earlier that day. * "Mia's Overdose": Vincent takes Mia Wallace (Marcellus' wife) out for dinner while Jules stays home to clean up after the murder. Mia overdoses on heroin at the restaurant, but Vincent manages to revive her. * "Butch and Fabienne": Butch Coolidge, a boxer who has been ordered to throw a fight, returns home to find his girlfriend Fabienne packing to leave him. She has been hiding money from him, which he needs to pay off a debt owed to Marsellus Wallace (Vincent & Jules'). * "Zed and Maynard": Butch meets with Marsellus to discuss the fight, but their conversation is interrupted when two hillbillies, Zed & Maynard (Burr Steers), burst into the basement where they are meeting, rape Marsellus and hold Butch at gunpoint. * "Gold Watch": Butch flees when the two hillbillies are distracted by a TV show, and he returns home to retrieve his valuable gold watch before leaving town. However, Fabienne betrayals him and hands him over to Marsellus' people. * "Deadly Vi Force": In the climactic final sequence, Vincent, Jules, Jimmie (Tarantino), Raquel (the owner of the junkyard) engage in a tense standoff against Marsellus' henchmen as they attempt to rescue Butch from their clutches outside a motel. The sequence intercuts between this scene & an earlier scene showing Butch escaping from captivity following Mia Wallace’s overdose at the restaurant. It ends with the death of various characters and a final showdown between Vincent, Jules & Ringo/Pumpkin (Tim Roth)
