Det är rikt, vackert och framförallt sorgligt, allt ihopblandat till en gripande men enkel historia. "Evening" kommer helt klart värma många i höstmörkret.

Experience a weekend of passion, secrets, and regret in the lives of two generations of women. When Ann Grant Lord, a sixty-five-year-old woman dying of cancer, reveals the name of her lost love to her daughters, they are shocked and intrigued. As they delve into their mother's past, they discover a hidden truth that changes their understanding of their family's history and their own lives. In the 1950s, young Ann Grant, a cabaret singer, arrives at the Newport home of her best friend Lila Wittenborn, who is soon to marry Karl Ross. There, Ann meets Harris Arden, a charming young doctor who is the son of a former family servant. As the weekend progresses, Ann and Harris share a deep connection, but their love is put to the test when Buddy Wittenborn, Lila's brother, confesses his own feelings for Ann. As Ann reflects on her past, her daughters confront their own relationships and the choices they have made. In a story that spans generations and explores themes of love, family, and regret, Evening asks whether we can truly know our parents and whether the secrets we keep can ever truly be kept hidden.
