"The Maxx" follows the adventures of a mysterious purple-clad superhero living in a cardboard box, who shifts between two drastically different worlds. In one, he protects his friend Julie Winters, a social worker, from the harsh realities of the real world. In the other, he rules a primitive outback world where he is the guardian. As he navigates these two worlds, Maxx's relationship with Julie and the enigmatic Mr. Gone, who seems to hold secrets about their lives, becomes increasingly complex. This sci-fi adventure animation series explores themes of identity, friendship, and the blurred lines between reality and fantasy.
