Overal great deep dive into investigative journalism and great story telling, but I hope I was not alone in missing out on a proper mind-blowing ending. I wanted to see the uproar from the public and government etc.

Exceptional, as always, with his actors, McCarthy has made a true ensemble drama, with nary a bum note in the sprawling cast.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Spotlight about? Toggle content

"In the early 2000s, a team of investigative journalists at the Boston Globe stumbled upon a shocking discovery: a massive cover-up of child sexual abuse within the local Catholic Archdiocese. Determined to expose the truth, they embarked on a grueling investigation that led them down a dark trail of secrets, lies, and corruption. Despite pushback from the Church and their own personal struggles, the journalists persevered, and their explosive report sent shockwaves throughout the community, bringing justice to the victims and shaking the foundations of an ancient institution. Nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture, "Spotlight" is a powerful and thought-provoking drama that shines a light on the courage of those who speak truth to power."
