Shonar Pahar

Shonar Pahar tells the story of Upama, a 72-year-old retired school teacher who lives alone in a dilapidated home in the suburbs of Kolkata. Despite her bitterness, she forms an unlikely bond with a 7-year-old orphan boy named Bitlu, who is introduced to her by the owner of a local NGO. As their relationship deepens, Upama is inspired to re-examine the strained relationship she shares with her married son, Soumya. When Upama and Bitlu go missing, Soumya embarks on an emotional journey to find his mother and mend the distance between them.
