In ancient China, a powerful martial artist and his detective friend must face their troubled pasts and confront a ruthless criminal organization in this gripping action-thriller. After a brutal fight with two robbers, Liu Jinxi (Donnie Yen), a reformed assassin, becomes the prime suspect of a tenacious detective named Xu Baijiu (Takeshi Kaneshiro). As Xu investigates, he discovers Liu's true identity as Tang Long, a skilled warrior and second-in-command of the 72 Demons, an infamous group of killers. Despite Xu's suspicions, Liu claims to have renounced his violent ways and is living a peaceful life with his family. In a thrilling series of battles, Liu must fight to protect his family and prove his innocence while facing off against formidable foes and confronting his own dark past.
