Diggstown

In the quirky town of Diggstown, where boxing reigns supreme, a smooth-talking con artist named Gabriel Caine (James Woods) sets up a bet with the town's ruthless businessman, John Gillon (Bruce Dern). Caine promises to find a boxer who can knock out 10 Diggstown men in one day, and Gillon, confident in his town's superior boxing skills, takes the bet. Caine enlists the help of his partner, Daniel Patrick O'Shannon "Fitz" Fitzpatrick (Oliver Platt), and an old buddy, "Honey" Roy Palmer (Louis Gossett Jr.), a 48-year-old YMCA supervisor who was once a renowned boxer. With the help of Emily Forrester (Heather Graham), they uncover Gillon's treachery and conspire to take him down. As Palmer faces off against Diggstown's top fighters, including Buck Holland (Rocky Pepeli), Slim Busby (Hambone's brother), Billy Hargrove (James Caviezel), Sam Lester (Roger Hewlett), Hambone Busby, Sonny Hawkins, Robby Gillon (John Gillon's son), Frank Mangrum, and Tank Miller., the stakes become higher and tensions between the two parties increase. Will Palmer be able to defeat all 10 opponents within 24 hours and secure Caine and Fitz's victory? Or will Gillon emerge triumphant? In this wild and wacky tale, anything can happen in Diggstown.
