In the year 2092, Nemo Nobody, a 118-year-old man, is the last mortal living among immortals. As he approaches death, he reflects on his life and various possible existences and marriages that could have been. The film explores themes of love, hope, fear, life, and death through Nemo's experiences and encounters with different women. The complex character of Nemo Nobody is portrayed by Jared Leto, who described the role as a challenge to keep track of all the lives concentrated into one character. The film also features Sarah Polley as Elise, Clare Stone as Elise (age 15), Diane Kruger as Anna, Juno Temple as Anna (age 15), and Laura Brumagne as Anna (age 9). Linh Dan Pham plays Jean, a woman who loves Nemo but is not loved back.
