Dexter: New Blood

Michael C. Hall effortlessly reprises this role in Dexter: New Blood, capturing every detail of the Dexter Morgan we used to know, while also showing a level of growth that’s needed for this new iteration.

...is operating more in the vein of the show's vaunted first seasons rather than exploring the plot holes left over after the much-criticized final one.

This is a leaner, hungrier Dexter than we are used to, and it’s a little bit thrilling to have him back. Maybe I’m a glutton for punishment, but I’m all in.

It's kind of fun seeing Dexter again, with its serial killer-meets-dad jokes charm.

...reminding us of why we enjoyed the original in the first place while also offering new adventures.

This is certainly a much more progressive storytelling than the first iteration...
