Rekall es una empresa que puede convertir los sueños en recuerdos reales, haciendo que la frontera entre realidad y memoria se difumine. En fabriksarbejder ved navn Douglas Quaid begynder at mistænke, at han er spion efter at have besøgt Rekall. Et firma der giver sine kunder implanterede falske minder om et liv, de gerne vil have. Men efter et besøg går det hele galt, og han befinder sig på flugt.
