In a world where the Holy Britannian Empire has conquered Japan and taken away its autonomy, a high school student named Lelouch Lamperouge obtains a mysterious power known as Geass. With this power, he can force anyone to obey his commands, but at a terrible cost. Donning a mask, Lelouch becomes the leader of the Japanese rebellion against Britannia, known as Zero. He uses his powers to strategize and defeat the oppressive forces, but his motivations are complicated by his desire for revenge against those who killed his mother and crippled his sister. As he fights for freedom and justice, Lelouch must confront the darkness within himself and decide whether the power of Geass is a blessing or a curse.
