Wallay

Ady, a 13-year-old boy, is sent to live with his uncle Amadou in Burkina Faso for the summer. His father, who has been raising him alone, is at a loss for what to do with his son who no longer listens to him. Ady's uncle and his family live on the other side of the Mediterranean sea, where boys his age are expected to become men. But Ady, convinced he's just going on a fun vacation, has a different perspective on things. As he navigates this new world and learns about the culture and traditions of his family's homeland, Ady must confront the challenges of growing up and becoming a man.
