After his fiancée's tragic death on their wedding day, a veterinarian grows depressed. His sister convinces him to visit a psychic, who uses the deceased's diary to deliver a fake message. The psychic and the veterinarian fall in love, but the ghost of his fiancée returns to sabotage their relationship. The ghost encounters an ice sculptor, who explains that they are both stuck in purgatory due to unfinished business. The ghost must protect her love, but realizes that he can be happy with the psychic. The ghost convinces the psychic to get back together with the veterinarian, and they eventually wed. The ghost returns to purgatory, ready to move on.
