In 17th century Japan, master chef Funaki Den'nai seeks a new wife for his son Yasunobu after his divorce from his first wife after only a year of marriage due to her impulsive nature . Oharu , a skilled cook with an excellent sense of taste , is proposed to by Funaki Den'nai to marry his son Yasunobu. However, Yasunobu is not interested in cooking and has no culinary skills.
