Married... with Children is a sitcom that follows the lives of the dysfunctional Bundy family, led by Al, a misogynistic shoe salesman who hates his job and is constantly at odds with his wife Peggy, a lazy housewife who only cares about shopping and watching TV. Their children, Kelly and Bud, are equally unremarkable, with Kelly being a promiscuous airhead and Bud being a socially awkward loser. Despite their flaws, the family manages to stick together through thick and thin. The show also features their neighbors Steve and Marcy Rhoades, who are often the targets of Al's sarcastic remarks. With its dark humor and outrageous characters, Married... with Children was a hit for Fox in the late 1980s.
