Waiting to Exhale is a romantic drama film that follows the lives of four African American women, Savannah, Bernadine, Robin, and Gloria, as they navigate their relationships and search for true love. The movie takes place over the course of a year and explores themes of friendship, love, and self-discovery. The film opens with Savannah, a successful television producer, who is in a long-term relationship with a married man. She believes that he will eventually leave his wife for her, but when he doesn't, she is left feeling hurt and confused.
