Farid, a young Frenchman, is sent to Algeria to save his family's home from demolition. Despite his initial reluctance, he discovers a vibrant culture and colorful characters, including his charming cousin. But when his cousin steals his documents and escapes to France, Farid is left stranded and must navigate his way back home, where his father's condition has taken a turn for the worse.
