Auf der Flucht vor der Polizei fällt Ned aus dem von Jude gesteuerten Auto. Sie entkommt mitsamt den geklauten Brillanten, er wird erwischt, kann jedoch aus dem Hospital fliehen. Von nun an will Ned nur noch eines: Jude finden und töten. Auf der Straße liest er eine unerfahrene Anhalterin auf, die ihn mit der Pistole bedroht, doch arrangiert man sich. Jude hat sich ihrerseits einen Lover angelacht. Statt zur Konfrontation kommt es zur Wiedervereinigung, doch auch das ist nur ein Schachzug der smarten Jude.
